Taoyuan General Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare : In order to implement the concept of “Patient-Oriented Care”, the hospital has actively promoted integrated medical healthcare, which includes “Holistic Integrated Medical Care, Diabetes Care, Integrated Cancer Medical Care, Integration of a Mid-Term Care Program and Long-term Nursing Home Care Program, Integrated Asthma Care, Integrated Diabetes Care, Integrated Care for Patients with Liver Disease, Joint Assessment of Child Development, and AIDS Care”.
Since he was appointed as superintendent of the hospital, DR. Cheng Shun-Ping has dedicated his efforts to upgrading hardware equipment and improving the quality and environment of the medical services to strive towards the goal of becoming a would-be Academic Medical Center.

本院成立之初，即與國立台灣大學附設醫院建立實質的雙向建教合作及首創突破性之醫師與教師雙聘制度，得以羅致優秀醫護人員，亦獲前台灣省政府廳處鼎力支持與地方人士推崇，使得本院醫療設備趨於完善。
醫院角色定位：提供優質醫療、善盡社會責任。策略命題：提升急重難症照護、拓展教學研究質量、精進資訊系統升級、強化特色醫療服務。為國門防疫鐵三角、結核病防治、愛滋照護之專責醫院。推動國際醫療合作、BSC理論—結合品質管理。獲得外部機構認證、國家品質標章獎。
為落實「以病人為中心」的理念，積極推動整合性之醫療照護，包括「全人整合醫療照護、糖尿病照護、癌症整合性醫療照護、中期照護計畫與護理之家長期照護整合、整合性氣喘照護、整合性糖尿病照護、肝病病患整合照護、兒童發展聯合評估及愛滋病照護」等。
桃園醫院長久以來以急重症之治療為發展重點，近年來更積極發展癌症治療，設立專屬癌症病房附設門診化療室、添購亞瑟刀3D影像導引6D定位床放射治療系統。另外，擴建血液透析室、新屋分院復健病房、設置日間照護中心，致力提升硬體設備及改善醫療品質環境，」。
