Arizona Department of Health Services : The Arizona Department of Health Services is on the front lines as we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The mission of the Ryan White Part B HIV Care and Services Program is to provide medically necessary health care and support services for low-income individuals with HIV infection lacking sufficient health care coverage or financial resources for coping with HIV/AIDS. Our program also administers the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) for the entire state of Arizona.
Our goals are to:
- Connect clients to care services and engage them in their HIV/AIDS management
- Assist clients navigating through the HIV/AIDS care system
- Monitor contracts and promote quality improvement
The role of the ADHS STI Control Program is to effectively utilize resources to improve the surveillance, epidemiology, policy building and communication capacity at the State level and to support all stakeholders serving the communities at most risk, including local health departments and community based organizations.
The STI Control Program is responsible for monitoring trends in STIs throughout Arizona. We assist the Local Health Departments (LHDs) and community-based organizations control and prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
