HIV TEST
Jefferson Primary Care, Comprehensive Health Care for South Philly
Your primary care doctor is the first person you turn to for your health care. Our primary care physicians provide preventive care and immunizations, perform comprehensive physical exams, treat common medical conditions and teach healthy lifestyle behaviors. When needed, they can also coordinate care with our expert specialists.
Getting Tested for HIV
Accurately diagnosing HIV usually requires a blood test, however, some rapid or mail-in self-tests use saliva. HIV tests are available for little or no cost, even if you do not have health insurance.
No HIV test can detect the virus immediately after you get it. If you think you’ve been exposed to HIV, talk to your doctor right away about when and which type of test to get.
