Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù : The Infectious Diseases and Immunoinfectivology Outpatient Department provides visits for immunology and infectious diseases and gives the possibility to perform the free HIV test.
On an outpatient basis, maternal counseling for congenital infections and counseling for adolescents at risk for sexually transmitted diseases is carried out.
The Infectious Diseases Unit carries out diagnosis, treatment and follow-up activities of suspected or established infectious diseases with particular regard to:
- Sars-Cov 2 infection in patients with comorbidities
- tuberculosis
- mycobacteriosis
- Hiv infections
- Infectious pathologies of the musculoskeletal system and soft tissues: arthritis, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, myositis.
- nervous system infections (meningitis, encephalitis, abscesses)
- parasitic diseases (malaria, leishmaniasis, echinococcosis)
- Diseases related to insect bites (arbovirus)
- The common infectious diseases of childhood (whooping cough, measles, chickenpox)
- Infectious complications related to the presence of prosthetic material and previous surgical interventions
The Operating Unit carries out stewardship (management) activities of antimicrobial treatment and is a reference center for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of:
- Pediatric tuberculous and non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections
- infectious osteo-articular pathologies in pediatric age
- HIV infections
- vertically transmitted infections Cytomegalovirus, Toxoplasmosis and Rubella
It is part of Italian and European networks for infectious diseases (PTB net- PENTA). In detail, it collaborates in the drafting of guidelines, protocols, procedures in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
The operating unit is part of the University Hospital Pediatrics Clinical Area of the Pediatrics Academic Area, headquarters of the Pediatrics Specialization School of the University of Tor Vergata.
Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù : L’Ambulatorio di Malattie Infettive e Immunoinfettivologia eroga visite di immunologia e per malattie infettive e dà la possibilità di eseguire il test gratuito per l’HIV.
In regime ambulatoriale viene svolta attività di counseling materno per le infezioni congenite e counseling per gli adolescenti a rischio per malattie sessualmente trasmissibili.
L’Unità di Malattie infettive svolge attività di diagnosi, cura e follow-up, delle patologie infettive sospette o accertate con particolare riguardo a:
- infezione da Sars-Cov 2 in pazienti con comorbidità
- tubercolosi
- micobatteriosi
- Infezioni Hiv
- Patologie infettive dell’apparato osteo-muscolare e dei tessuti molli: artriti, osteomieliti, celluliti, miositi.
- infezioni del sistema nervoso (meningiti, encefaliti, ascessi)
- malattie parassitarie (malaria, leishmaniosi, echinococcosi)
- Patologie correlate a punture di insetto (arborvirosi)
- Le comuni malattie infettive dell’infanzia (pertosse, morbillo, varicella)
- Complicanze infettive correlate alla presenza di materiale protesico e pregressi interventi chirurgici
L’Unità operativa svolge attività di stewardship (di gestione) del trattamento antimicrobico ed è centro di riferimento per la diagnosi la cura e il follow up delle:
- Infezioni da micobatteri tubercolari e non tubercolari in età pediatrica
- patologie infettive osteo-articolari in età pediatrica
- infezioni da HIV
- infezioni a trasmissione verticale Citomegalovirus, Toxoplasmosi e Rosolia
È inserita all’interno di di network italiani ed europei per le patologie infettive (PTB net- PENTA). Nel dettaglio collabora alla stesura di linee guida, protocolli, procedure nell’ambito della prevenzione, diagnosi e cura delle patologie infettive.
L’ Unità operativa è inserita all’interno dell’Area Clinica Pediatria Universitaria Ospedaliera dell’Area accademica di Pediatria, sede della scuola di specializzazione in Pediatria dell‘Università di Tor Vergata.
