Taipei Veterans General Hospital , The Medicine Department : A nationwide HBV vaccination program has been operating from this department since 1981, and is one of its landmark achievements. Other outstanding performances include a hepatitis prevention program, therapeutic endoscopy for bleeding ulcers and gastroesophageal bleeding, interferon therapy for chronic viral hepatitis, cardiac catheterization, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and stenting, electrophysiological study (EPS) and ablation, bone marrow transplantation, intensive diabetic therapy, hemodialysis, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD),AIDS programs, blood component therapy, treatment of bronchial asthma and systemic lupus erythematosus, 24-hour consultation and management services for patients with toxicological problems.
