Bangkok, Thailand – January 25, 2024 – Thailand took a historic step towards inclusivity and gender equality with the launch of the groundbreaking “Sisterhood” app. This first-of-its-kind platform specifically caters to the needs and empowerment of transgender women, marking a significant milestone in the country’s journey.
The launch event, buzzing with energy and representing the diverse community, welcomed distinguished guests like Miriam Otto (Netherlands Chargé d’Affaires), Chadchart Sitthiphan (Bangkok Governor), and the Gilead Vice President. Organizations like Miss Tiffany Universe, Miss Fabulous Thailand, Rainbow Sky Association, and Tangerine Clinic also showed their support.
Sisterhood More Than Just an App
Sisterhood goes beyond just sharing news and articles. It offers a unique space for meaningful discussions, allowing users to connect, share stories, and uplift each other. By enabling users to upload statuses and pictures, the app fosters a sense of belonging and community, turning virtual interactions into real connections.

Sisterhood is a movement, not just an app. Developed by the Love Foundation with Gilead’s support, it stands as a testament to Thailand’s diverse genders. The team aims to create a safe and supportive space for identity affirmation and self-pride, empowering not only transgender women but also the entire LGBTQIANs+ community.
Rules
- To participate, simply sign up for a membership through the Thaisisterhood.com website. Or download the application for both iOS and Android. Complete your membership application in full (*Incomplete messages will be considered incomplete memberships).
- The contest period is from December 25, 2023.
- After participants have registered at www.thaisisterhood.com and completed their details. We will compile a list of all participants, print out lottery tickets, and place them in a box for drawing. The winners will be drawn on August 29, 2024.
- The winners will be announced on the Thaisisterhood.com website on August 30, 2024.
